Chur Burger, Surry Hills

Chur Burger is an American gourmet burger joint on Albion Street in Surry Hills. 

Setting
The restaurant is decorated with an industrial feel. These are a wide choice of seating - cafe table style, high counter style and low counter style. What I love about this place is the music! You can catch your favourite 80s tunes here, and everyone seems to be singing along.

Menu
The menu consist of burger, typical sides like coleslaw and hot chips as well as milkshakes.  There is also a full bar service. Prices for burgers are pretty reasonable for a gourmet burger, however the drinks are a little more steep.

Food
Salted Caramel Milkshake and Cola - Creamy caramel milkshake, slight salted to enhance the caramelisation. Local made cola, less sweet than normal Coke, interesting.


Pulled Pork Burger - Super juicy pulled pork on a soft white sesame seed bun, with Chur BBQ sauce, crispy red slaw and fennel mayo. This is a must try burger.

 Grilled Lamb Burger - Aromatic grilled lamb burger on a soft white sesame seed bun, with mint sauce, feta, red onion, aioli.

3 Sides of Hot chips, Sweet potato chips and Coleslaw - The chips were hot and very crisp. The coleslaw is very fresh and lightly dressed. The sweet potato chips aren't the normal crispy kind - it's caramelized on the outside and very soft and fluffy on the inside. There's sure no short of chili sauce to dip your chips in either!

Overall
The food is fantastic here, and love the ambiance too. I'll be definitely back for more.

Day 8. The most amazing part of staying home is that I'm saving 3 hours of travelling to and from work! This has really given me time back for things I love, including cooking. But also, I've more time to focus on other things like re-starting my exercise routine on the WiiFit and getting more housework done in a timely fashion. How about social contact? COVID-19 Stay-at-home Day 6: Kimchi Pork Stew Recipe

Hi guys! It's day 6 of our COVID-19 stay-at-home plan. I've decided to resurrect my blog by sharing our meals with you guys. Tonight on the menu is my version of a Kimchi Pork Stew. It's super easy to make and you don't have to follow the vegetable recommendations strictly here. You can use whatever veggies you like. So here's it! It's best served with rice. Ingredients 200g Pork - Best cuts are belly if not shoulder or leg is fine. 1 tablespoon Oil 1 cup Kimchi 1 tablespoon Korean spicy red pepper paste (Gochujang) 3 cups water Your choice of mushrooms and vegetables. 1 packet of spicy Korean instant noodles 300g Medium tofu sliced (Optional) Spring onion to garnish Marinade Mixture 2 tablespoon of wine - Chinese cooking wine, Mirin/ cooking sake, or sherry 1 tablespoon of soy sauce 1 teaspoon of black pepper Method 1) Cut pork into thin slices.
