Ichi-ban Boshi, Bondi Junction

Ichi-Ban Boshi, Bondi Junction, is a Japanese noodles and rice restaurant located on the Bondi Junction Mall right across from its train station.

This place has a good selection of different Japanese Ramen, and there are different rice and udon dishes as well.

Drinks
We each ordered a glass of Ice Lemon Tea. This is fresh tea with lemon and served with a small pot of syrup. This was a very refreshing drink!

We ordered 2 dishes - Tokyo Ramen and Omelette Rice.

Tokyo Ramen - Ramen in Soy Sauce soup with egg, pork, rice cakes, vegetables and seaweed. This is a very hearty bowl of noodles with lots of bamboo and corn. The egg is the Japanese style half-boiled egg. I wished there were more than 1 piece of pork!

Omelette Rice - Rice encased in a omelette served with a side of hash beef, pickles and lettuce. This was the dish of the day! The omelette was very fluffy and tasty. The hash beef was very rich and beef was very tender. If I were to come back, I would have this dish again!

Price
The total bill came up to be around $30 for 2 people - quite average for a dinner in this area.

Overall
This place is a known for its Ramen and it didn't disappoint. But surprise surprise, the omelette rice was fantastic too. Service was very courteous and prompt. Will return for more!

Day 8. The most amazing part of staying home is that I'm saving 3 hours of travelling to and from work! This has really given me time back for things I love, including cooking. But also, I've more time to focus on other things like re-starting my exercise routine on the WiiFit and getting more housework done in a timely fashion. How about social contact? I've always been part of the great gaming community and have plenty of friends online. We catch up on a daily basis, plan out social and gaming activities to do. COVID-19 Stay-at-home Day 6: Kimchi Pork Stew Recipe

Hi guys! It's day 6 of our COVID-19 stay-at-home plan. I've decided to resurrect my blog by sharing our meals with you guys. Tonight on the menu is my version of a Kimchi Pork Stew. It's super easy to make and you don't have to follow the vegetable recommendations strictly here. You can use whatever veggies you like. So here's it! It's best served with rice. Ingredients 200g Pork - Best cuts are belly if not shoulder or leg is fine. 1 tablespoon Oil 1 cup Kimchi 1 tablespoon Korean spicy red pepper paste (Gochujang) 3 cups water Your choice of mushrooms and vegetables. 1 packet of spicy Korean instant noodles 300g Medium tofu sliced (Optional) Spring onion to garnish Marinade Mixture 2 tablespoon of wine - Chinese cooking wine, Mirin/ cooking sake, or sherry 1 tablespoon of soy sauce 1 teaspoon of black pepper Method 1) Cut pork into thin slices.
