Qantas Sydney International Business Class Lounge Food Review

What's a lounge without good food? The Qantas Sydney International Business Class lounge will not disappoint.

You will need a premium economy ticket or above to enter. Of course, if you are a Gold or above Qantas or One World frequent flyer that's your gold entry ticket too. And if you are a paying member for Qantas Club, entry won't be denied. For the rest of us cattle class people, there are other ways of gaining entry too like getting a voucher from Qantas platinum credit cards.

If you are here on a stop-over, this is a great place to get a free shower. The bathrooms are stocked with towels and very aromatic toiletries.

There free wifi, lots of place to charge up, however there no PC terminals. So BYO.

There is also not really anywhere to lay down as all chairs are single sofas.

For the little ones, there is a free play area as well.

Now for the food...

The food at this lounge is quite international. There was fresh salads, in fact there were 7 different choices - ranging from Mediterranean salads, green salads to a more Italian fare.

For hot food, there was a rich and super creamy broccoli with blue cheese soup. And a huge range of bread rolls - white, rye, whole grain, multigrain, sourdough...

There was choice of Chinese dim sum - siumai (烧卖) and BBQ pork buns (叉烧包). Also, super fragrant jasmine rice with a chicken and vegetable stir fry.

There is a barista in house to brew your favorite espresso coffee. Top notch barista I must say. And there was a very good range of gelato too!

There is also a self serve bar with a good range of Australian and major international beers and liqueurs. The bar is also stocked with a good range of Australian red, white and bubbles.

Especially if you are riding cattle class, I strongly suggest to fill up before the flight. The food we had on our flight was borderline inedible!
