Ribs & Burgers, Zetland
Ribs & Burgers has recently opened it newest branch in new trendy suburb of Zetland. This latest expansion meant increasing it's number of restaurants in NSW to 9.
Setting
The restaurant is decorated to an industrial theme. It had interesting decorative pieces - particularly the water and condiments cabinet and the wash basin in the middle of the restaurant. Other nice touches were the can/ tea pot holding your condiments and cutlery which also displayed your order number.
Food
We had order 1 main and 1 small side. As the portions were quite large, this was quite sufficient for 2.
BBQ Pork Riblets with Sliders - Half rack of Pork Ribs cooked for 8 hours with a 2 sliders of your choice (Hamburger or Grilled Chicken) and a small side salad of your choice (Cabbage Salad, Butcher's Salad or Rocket Salad). The pork ribs were really juicy and the meat slide right off the bone. The BBQ sauce was a good balance of sweet, sticky and savory. Of the 2 sliders, the grilled chicken was the better. The chicken was char grilled with its rich smokey aroma, and the buns were lightly toasted on the outside but soft inside. The Butcher's Salad is your everyday garden salad with a vinaigrette dressing.

Chips - We also had a small side of chips. Chips here are the 'fat' kind, well cooked and not too greasy.
Drinks
Apple Pie Thick Shake - Milk shake with malt and vanilla ice-cream, stewed apple bits and a crumble. This drink would indeed make you think that you are having an apple pie! On the down side, we found a piece of plastic in this drink.
Service
Probably because this was the first week of operation, the service was pretty messy. When it came to ordering, the cashier was quite slow as he was being trained on the job. It took 30 minutes before our meal came, apparently, they got our orders mixed up. There was no apology. Also, when the waiter came around and ask if the food was okay, we tried telling her that the milk shake had plastic inside. But before we could finish our sentence, she walked away without acknowledging our problem. The service really needs to be improved here. By 7pm, the queue at the counter was at least 15 people long, snaking around the whole front of the shop. Patrons wanting to leave had to squeeze through the front of the shop.
Overall
The food here is pretty yummy, but we'll definitely wait for a few more months for this shop to fix their service problems before we return!
